NYC-based denim label 3sixteen linked up with Schott NYC on another iconic leather jacket design. Once again combining heritage, expertise and understated design, the collaborative effort is a modern rework of Schott’s classic Double Rider Jacket silhouette. Focussing on creating a product that improves with wear quickly, 3sixteen sourced a custom Arabica cowhide leather from Chicago-based Horween Leather Company. The soft and supple Arabica leather was specially treated to have a hard “sugary” surface that is treated to crack easily to show a lighter brown shade beneath.

Additionally, the jacket features raw Japanese selvedge, chambray lining accented by a commemorative leather patch and heavy duty Good Art HLYWD custom brass “snap-cap” hardware found throughout the jacket.

Priced at $1,100 USD, the 3sixteen x Schott NYC Arabica Cowhide Leather Rider jacket is set to release online and at select 3sixteen stockist December 18. Also, make sure to check out Stüssy and Schott NYC’s limited edition Striped Rider Jacket.
