The early 2021 output from the ASICS team has definitely been strong as it has been going back and forth between releasing in-line styles and compelling collaborations with partners like Coca-Cola, Vivienne Westwood and Ballaholic. Under the general release category, the latest to spring up is the GEL-Venture 7 — a runner that has just been uncovered with lively “Lime Green” and “Yellow” makeovers.

Of the duo of offerings, the “Yellow/Ox Brown” variant is arguably the louder variation. A sunflower-like hue leads the way for this low-top silhouette and throws itself onto the webbed canvas overlays that cling onto the mid-foot, throat and leather forefoot overlays, the latter sporting a tonal vein-y patterns that run throughout. Placed underneath is a layer of light beige mesh, while dark brown accents touch the tiger stripes and heel counters which are also decorated with the busy design lines. Small pops of sky blue are also tossed onto the lace loops, lateral stripe overlays and the heel tabs.

Its launch partner is one of much more dusty allure as it dons a pastel “Lime Green” exterior that’s mated with faint yellow accents which disperse to the toe tips, ASICS logos and heel overlays. Like its sibling, a duo or lace loops, the mid-foot banner and the rear tabs usher in some color-blocking, only with brown and yellow tones. Elsewhere, a muted gray is called to the table to coat the sock liners and midsoles.

Retailers like Subtype are expected to drop these soon, both pairs retailing at $160 USD.

For additional footwear news, ASICS recently revealed its METASPEED Sky model.
