ASUS ROG has announced a series of new gaming laptops and upgrades during its CES 2021 virtual conference, including the all-new Flow X13, an AMD-powered Strix G15, and a SCAR 15 and 17 series boasting the fastest laptop displays in the world.
Making its debut at the event, the brand new Flow X13 is an ultraportable gaming laptop designed for those who are constantly on the move thanks to its lightweight and compact form factor. The machine is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 5980 HS mobile processor CPU paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card and carries two different display options for you to choose from — a 120Hz FHD panel or a high-res 4K panel with Corning Gorilla glass protection — both coming in a 16:10 aspect ratio with Adaptive-Sync and Pantone Validated certification.
For those who don’t require something as portable, ASUS ROG has also given its Strix G15 a welcome update, now equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. It’ll support up to 2TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM, and offers either a competition-ready 300Hz/3ms display or a WQHD 165Hz/3ms panel, both also equipped with Adaptive-Sync technology.
Rounding out the announcements are of course the company’s most powerful models: the Esports-focused Strix SCAR 15 and 17. Both models now carry what ASUS says is the fastest laptop displays in the world, boasting a refresh rate of a staggering 360Hz and a response time of just 3ms and powered by GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile processor as well as 32GB of dual-channel DDR-3200 MHz RAM. Other features include a Dolby Atmos-enhanced quad-speaker system, a keyboard with 1.9mm key travel, zero debounce delay, and per-key RGB lighting, as well as dedicated fans and liquid-metal cooling.
