atmos and Nike have teamed up for a LeBron 18 Low “Viotech.” Directly inspired by atmos’ legendary Air Max 1 “Viotech” from 2003 — the same year LeBron James was drafted #1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers — the “Viotech” is a career-spanning collaboration that blends modern tech with a color scheme from another era.
Normally, low-cut LeBron 18s feature an upper made from synthetic textiles. Here, however, they’re done up in leather and suede for a lifestyle-geared look. A signature “Viotech” purple Swoosh that’s supersized on the lateral side and small on the medial side cuts through the design’s palette of earthy browns and tans, namely a dark brown on the mudguard, light brown on the toebox and heel and a greenish-brown on the quarters.
Throats are constructed of woven brown textiles and overlaid with black laces. Gold branding appears above the toebox as well as on the tongue tag, heel and insoles. Down below, a brown heel clip works with a chocolate brown heel Air Max unit and a React foam forefoot for a cushy feel. Raised, textured gum outsoles round off the look.
The atmos x LeBron 18 Low “Viotech” will be accompanied by a floral-inspired atmos x LeBron 18 Low “Sakura.” It’ll likely arrive to market sometime this summer, though an official release date has yet to be announced. This isn’t the first collaboration between Nike Basketball, atmos and LeBron either: 2019 saw two other classic atmos Air Max designs get moments in the spotlight by way of the LeBron 16 Low “Safari” and LeBron 16 Low “Clear Jade.”
