AURALEE is all about understated design and premium construction, as evidenced by its seasonal collections and New Balance collaborations. The Japanese label’s latest NB sneaker is an unconventional choice considering its previous old school styles; AURALEE is dishing out two low-key takes on the New balance FuelCell Speedrift running sneaker.

Set atop FuelCell foam and realized with a sleek, aerodynamic upper, the FuelCell Speedrift is everything that a track runner could ever want. AURALEE’s upgrades are wholly cosmetic, unsurprisingly, but are indicative of the fashion label’s detail-oriented approach to design. Offered in “Lime Yellow” and “Charcoal,” the two sneakers sport translucent ripstop uppers that reveal layers of stacked textile beneath, subtly highlighting the technology without sacrificing the understated styling that AURALEE fans have come to know and love.

Expect the collaborative FuelCell Speedrift sneakers to hit AURALEE’s web store, New Balance Japan and END. Clothing on August 15 for ¥24,000 JPY (approximately $230 USD). New Balance’s T-HOUSE concept store in Tokyo will host a special exhibition to celebrate the sneaker’s release.

New Balance has a spate of joint efforts rolling out shortly, including a wider release of the JJJJOUND 992 shoes, Jaden Smith’s Vision Racer and a forthcoming DIME partnership.
