As BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS rolls out its skate-y Spring/Summer 2021 collection, the Japanese brand is taking a step back for Fall/Winter 2021, recruiting a new designer and director to reshape the longstanding label’s output. To that end, BEDWIN is serving up a fresh selection of co-ed looks as part of its new lineup, mingling new cuts with old standbys.

At its core, BEDWIN has always mixed together elements of militaria, workwear, skate culture and streetwear with aplomb, never veering too far into any stylistic cue without accenting it with another design element. The FW21 collection is an extension of this creative flow with an expanded approach: relaxed knitwear is bolstered by bold graphic prints and sophisticated liner jackets retain spiderweb patterns that are a brand favorite.

Army-inspired coats and shirts are widened, loosened, rendered in soft corduroy and even exaggerated as ponchos, lending advanced styling to the more versatile collared shirts, striped tees and BEDWIN’s signature tapered Dickies work pant. There’s also a brief array of tailored coats and blazers, lending a slightly more elegant accent to the function-driven essentials.
