In celebration of this year’s Earth Day, Carl’s Jr. has partnered with Beyond Meat for the fast-food chain’s first-ever plant-based meat menu.

The latest menu change will takeover a local Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Los Angeles, where the store is set to “Go Beyond” for customers to stop by and try the complimentary eco-friendly Beyond Meat burger. The free for all menu offerings promise to deliver the same delectable taste and texture that Carl Jr. fans have long loved, but this time in the form of plant-based meat.

In 2018, Carl’s Jr. sparked the plant-based trend in quick-service restaurants by partnering with Beyond Meat to be the first national fast-food chain to offer a plant-based burger patty, better known as The Beyond Famous Star. The Beyond Famous Star turned out to be Carl’s Jr.’s most successful burger launch, and since then the chain has sold over 12 million Beyond Meat burgers.

Earth Day 2021, which occurs on April 22, will see the reconvening of Carl’s Jr. and Beyond Meat for the occassion. Those in the Los Angeles area will be able to visit the Glendale location from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to get a free Beyond Meet burger. Those who are unable to join the Eart Day celebration can still try the Beyond Burge for $5 USD at other Carl’s Jr. locations after signing up online.
