Jordan Brand is poised to have another thrilling year of footwear partnerships, and to kick things off it will be teaming up with CLOT to further enrich its collaborative legacy. In the pipeline, the brands are slated to launch the Air Jordan 14 Low “Terracotta”, a new project that simultaneously celebrates Chinese heritage and a classical hoop silhouette.
Much like the two parties’ Air Jordan 13 collaboration that dropped back in 2018, this iteration is possessive of a ceramic clay motif, and this is pronounced through the muted grey uppers and rustic orange accents that clad the midsole molds. If you peep the side paneling, they have been textured with embossed dots which alternate between sets of two and three to fittingly nod to the Michael Jordan’s jersey number. Moreover, the traditional Ferrari-inspired badges found the lateral panels are bereft of the usual Jumpman logos, and the tongues arrive emblematic of a traditional Chinese scroll and thus embellish “CLOT” and “JORDAN” branded hits split between each foot.
Furthermore, the Chinese characters “如意吉祥” are placed onto the heel’s dangling knot and coin and and represent the Chinese idiom for prosperity and happiness.
For parties interested in copping, the Air Jordan 14 Low x CLOT “Terracotta” will be released on February 8, 2021.
Elsewhere in sneaker news, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT “White Light Bone” has been unveiled.
