Freddie Gibbs recently released the music video of his latest, Hit-Boy produced single titled “4 Thangs” featuring Big Sean. The celebratory visual depicts all three hip-hop stars clad in Lakers jerseys to commemorate the team’s recent NBA championship.
The 38-year-old rapper has been teasing the track on his social media accounts in the past several weeks, dropping behind-the-scenes clips of the music video, previews and promotional Dunk covers captured by celebrated music and documentarian photographer Nick Walker. The photos feature Gibbs and Sean clad in Lakers jerseys with cover titles such as “Kevin Durant Can’t Be Stopped,” “The Kane Train Cometh,” and “Don Life Mentality.” Gibbs also unveiled a large-scale mural in Los Angeles featuring him and Big Sean alongside commemorative t-shirts.
Earlier this year, Gibbs released his Alchemist-produced album Alfredo, which has become the rapper’s highest-charting record to date and billed as one of the best albums of the year. Watch the music video for “4 Thangs” above and let us know your thoughts.
