Japan’s Mizuno continues its KAZOKU project with another collaborative release. This time, Paris’ FUTUR joins the sportswear label for sleek sneakers and functional garments.

“KAZOKU” means family in Japanese, and distinguishes Mizuno’s joint efforts from its other releases. The latest offering in the on-going series sees FUTUR giving the Wave Emperor F two makeovers: one pale and tonal, the other a retro-indebted black, blue, red and white colorway. Complete with co-branding on the heel, the runner is accompanied by a full range of branded activewear, nearly all executed in black.

A white cap and tee are the only exceptions, with a black coat, leggings, sports bra and cap emblazoned with 3M Mizuno and FUTUR logos for visual impact. Spaced-out FUTUR branding on the coat offers another type of branding, gently contrasting against the hooded outerwear.

Bodega hosted an initial rollout earlier this month, prior to the official release. The collaboration hits Futur’s web store and monkey time stores on May 25.

Recently, Mizuno teamed with SAYHELLO for an elevated Court Select.

Futur, a brand out of Paris provided us with a view of Parisian lifestyle and aesthetics Friday night in LA. Bodega appreciates everything from street culture to the finer things in life. In usual fashion. @Wall_e_w0rld world provided an eclectic mix of tunes – closing the party with the hit Bay Area track “you a jerk” – the crowd went wild. To stay aligned with the Parisian lifestyle, @TheManufactoryLA kept the crowd fed with a accoutrement of baguettes, aged cheese and cured meats. The highlight of the evening was the @Futur x @Mizuno collab but Futurs in-line collection has range of outerwear, tops, bottoms and accessories with a mix of brights hues and earth tones. The quality and fit are something you can put on and flex during Paris fashion week. Their collection will be featured at Bodega LA for the next 2 weeks. With limited distro in the states don’t miss the opportunity to cop.
