Japanese pizza preferences differ greatly from American palettes, with most of the island nation’s pizza stylings served Italian-style, with an emphasis on small, doughy margherita pizzas in favor of giant New York slices. PIZZA SLICE is thus a rarity, slinging beefy 20″ pies and even single slices — especially uncommon in Japan — from its Tokyo outposts. To commemorate the chain’s ongoing success, founder Hiroki Sarumaru has rejoined Reebok for a special, low-key twist on the Club C sneaker.

Back in September 2019, PIZZA SLICE linked with Reebok for a custom T-shirt but this is the duo’s first sneaker partnership.

Like 1LDK’s recent Club C, the PIZZA SLICE collab centers around a subtle revision of the classic Reebok silhouette, gracing the premium leather and canvas uppers with a pale, cheese-inspired hue for a tonal finish. More unique are the branded insoles and tongue — now printed with verbiage like “WE ARE NOT JUST A” and “PIZZERIA SLICE OF YOUR LIFE” — and the lateral side Reebok window, which now sports matching PIZZA SLICE branding.

PIZZA SLICE’s restaurants, atmos, Reebok’s ZOZOTOWN page and its Japanese stores will launch the exclusive Club C on April 16 for ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $120 USD).

Reebok hasn’t slowed its collaborative streak, issuing a Candy Land-themed sneaker pack and special Zig Kinetica II with Brain Dead.
