Kid Cudi and adidas are back again, following up the December 2020 debut of the Vadawam 326 with a new makeup dubbed “Footwear White/Orange Tint/Dark Brown.” Inspired by sci-fi movies and named after Cudi’s daughter Vada, the latest Vadawam colorway is equal parts retro basketball sneaker and moon boot — a fitting design for someone who’s long dubbed himself the “Man on the Moon.”
Artillery Hi-inspired uppers reach well above the wearer’s ankle and feature a layered leather and suede composition. The shoe’s collar, base and heel clip are done up in stark white or natural bone tones, while overlays take on a variety of brown shades. Though blue rope laces do snake up the midfoot, they’re quickly overpowered by three brown leather Velcro straps that serve as the shoe’s primary fit system. “326” is printed on the lateral collar for a nod to Vada’s birthday, with a blue collar liner and berry-colored eyestays adding further vibrance. Down below, an Edberg Torsion Comp-style midsole rounds off the look.
Though adidas has yet to announce an official release date for this new Vadawam 326, retailers like Asphalt Gold have it listed for a February 27 release. If it falls in line with past models, the MSRP will be set at $180 USD.
