Martine Rose has returned with its latest eyewear from its eclectic Spring/Summer 2020 lineup — a set of handcrafted sunglasses with a number of quirky shapes. This release follows a reversible fringed cowboy shirt from last month.
First up is the Bug-Eye Cat-Eye sunglasses, which comes with two sets of frames: the outer frame as the large, circular “Bug-Eye” part of the shades and the inner narrow frame as the “Cat-Eye.” “Martine Rose” is subtly debossed in silver at the inner side of the temple, complemented by two metallic dots at the hinges and a tinted dark orange lens. The Bug-Eye Hepburn sunglasses boast a similar double-stacked design, except with a larger lens in black. Finally, the Cat-Eye sunglasses have the sleekest build among the lineup. The silhouette comes in an icy light blue or midnight navy colorway. “Martine Rose” branding appears in the same place as the aforementioned pieces over slimmer temples, while an articulated topbar rounds up the accessory.
Martine Rose’s SS20 Eyewear lineup is currently available on SSENSE’s website, ranging from $270 – $365 USD.
