mastermind JAPAN‘s collaborative streak continues unabated, following a Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK and special Converse Addict with a selection of Mitchell & Ness sportswear. Executed in the Japanese brand’s preferred black, the retro-indebted capsule is rich with unmistakable co-branding in place of team logos.

A timeless varsity jacket, hoodie, T-shirt, Swingman jersey, shorts and cap have received the mastermind treatment, entirely updated in monochrome black and white. mastermind branding, skull logos and the occasional D-ring accent the selection, abetted by a separate tag for each label to reinforce the joint effort. Mitchell & Ness’ script logo graces select items, including the satin varsity and black cap, the latter of which also boasts a bold mastermind print hidden beneath the brim.

The Japan-only Mitchell & Ness collaboration launches August 29 on mastermind’s website, GR8, TATRAS & STRADA EST OSAKA, mastermind pvstore, FEELLIKE.JP, Isetan Men’s Shinjuku and Hankyu Men’s Tokyo and Osaka ranging in price from ¥9,000 JPY (the cap, approximately $80 USD) to ¥52,000 JPY (the varsity jacket, approximately $495 USD).

Most recently, mastermind JAPAN partnered with Lacoste for late-summer tennis essentials.
