2020 has seen a revival of several CO.JP releases from Nike and Jordan Brand — ranging from the Dunk Low “Plum” to the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic Silver” — and now the Air Force 1 is getting in on the fun with the return of 2001’s “Wheat” style. An appealingly autumnal colorway that’s back just in time for the change of seasons, the CO.JP “Wheat” uses its blocky build for a look that’s half sneaker, half boot and entirely Nike Sportswear.

Similar to recent Air Force 1 “Wheat” releases, the upper is crafted entirely of tan nubuck material. However, where this throwback makeup differentiates itself from its successors is on the collar and tongue tag, where it discards tan in favor of a rich brown for contrast. The rope laces seen on modern-day pairs are gone as well, replaced by a traditional flat style. Down below, the shoe’s signature detail is provided by an opaque gum midsole that surrounds its light-toned center with a streak of brown around the foxing. Solid brown outsoles round off the look.

The Nike Air Force 1 CO.JP “Wheat” will reportedly release on October 8 and is priced at $140 USD, though both date of arrival and price have yet to be confirmed by the Swoosh.
