It’s been a long journey for Song For The Mute as the Australian label transitioned between stylistic cues over the past several years. It seems like co-founders Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Tyconsider have hit their stride, however, as Song For The Mute has consistently channeled appreciable influence from nomads, travelers and trekkers alike, coalescing into an adventure-ready Fall/Winter 2020 offering.

Lavish tapestry-inspired patterns grace trim workwear jackets and relaxed coats, with quilting, double-knee and webbing motifs underscoring the functional bent. Earth tones accompany stark white and versatile black layers, gently obscuring the technical textiles and contrasting against the more vivid prints. There are subtle elements of intelligent design as well; elastic cords tighten trousers at anatomical points and doubled-up drawstrings allow wearers to customize the hood openings.

Expect the new items to arrive imminently on stockists like SSENSE and Song For The Mute’s web store

A similar sense of preparedness informs seasonal styling from the likes of Monitaly and Hamcus.
