SZA‘s latest single “Good Days” has officially gone platinum, selling more than 1 million units in the United States in only a span of two months.

The TDE artist took to social media to share the news and celebrate with her fans. Quoting a tweet from Chart Data, she wrote, “I FORGOT TO TELL YALL WE BEEN PLATINUM FOR W FEW DAYS NOW!! Feels like we just went gold yesterday!! I can’t thank y’all enough!!”

She also took this opportunity to remind her listeners about self-confidence, revealing that “Good Days” almost didn’t turn out like its final product after an unnamed person who she greatly respects claimed that they didn’t like the outro of the song. “Life is really a test of believing in ur SELF . Y’all almost didn’t get the outtro to good days cus somebody I respect ain’t like it,” she tweeted.

“Good Days” dropped on Christmas Day 2020 and was SZA’s second release of the year following “Hit Different” with Ty Dolla $ign. Both tracks are expected to appear on her highly-anticipated sophomore studio effort, however a release date for the Ctrl followup is yet to be announced.

Elsewhere in music, Tyler, the Creator produced a song for a new Coca-Cola commercial.
