For fans of retro gaming, 3D printing focused YouTube channel 3D Printor recently documented what happens when you attach a DSLR lens to a Nintendo Game Boy Camera.

Released back in 1998, the Game Boy Camera was an official accessory for Nintendo‘s handheld console that allowed gamers to take photos. The grayscale photographs could be edited, transferred and even printed on thermal paper with the Game Boy Printer.

Utilizing a mod, the mind behind 3D Printor attached a 70-200mm lens to his Game Boy Camera to yield a 3000mm focal length. The rig was able to take a grayscale portrait photo at 0.1 megapixels which was then printed onto a canvas professionally for a striking retro piece of art.
